The dream that became Brownstone Gardens started with Bob Wiemholt’s simple enjoyment of beautiful landscape. He talked for years of having a noteworthy outdoor landscape, and he had the perfect property for it. All he needed was inspiration.

That inspiration came in the form of an anniversary, his own. The family was planning a huge celebration for Bob and Karen’s 25 th wedding anniversary. With the number of guests expected to attend it was decided that the celebration should be outdoors.

That was all it took. Spurred into action Bob began building his dream. At the anniversary celebration their daughter announced her engagement and her own wish to be married at home. Fueled by a new inspiration the dream began to grow and by October of 2000, the place was under full blown construction.

As the final pieces fell into place Brownstone Gardens, as friends called it, began to have visitors. Cars would slow as they drove by with passengers stretching their necks for a peek. Some were so bold as to stop and ask if they might look around. The question on every visitor’s lips was “Do you plan to rent the place out for weddings?”

Over time additions were made and in 2003 his second and third daughters were also married in the gardens completing the circle.
